New Adventures

Dear family and friends,
It is with great joy I am sharing the news that I have accepted a new position as the Coordinator of the Plum Creek Children’s Literacy Festival at Concordia University in Seward, NE. I will finish the school year here in IL and move to Nebraska at the end of June. I will get to do what I love most- bringing the love of literacy to children all over Nebraska by connecting them with authors and illustrators at an annual festival which draws in nearly 10,000 people each year. I am excited to continue to work with authors and illustrators and teachers everywhere, and seeking new ways to make this festival continue to grow and reach even more people, as well as promote literacy across Concordia’s campus, and perhaps teach a few college courses in the area of children’s literature. This is an exciting opportunity! This is my dream job, so a dream come true! I am certainly thankful for all I have learned and done in my first three years of teaching at Immanuel in Belvidere, and I will miss my friends and church family there greatly. Here’s to new adventures!
